Restore Sessions

Change the response without retelling the story.

Restore Sessions are private guided self-regulation experiences designed for moments of stress, overwhelm, emotional activation, or when the body feels stuck in a reactive state. Users do not need to explain what happened, retell the story, or disclose personal details.

“We are not changing the memories. We are helping the brain change its automatic response to the memories.”

When Restore may be helpful

  • When a stressful memory or situation keeps replaying
  • When the body feels activated or unsettled
  • When you feel overwhelmed and need a structured reset
  • When you want to calm your automatic response
  • When you want a private guided self-regulation session
  • When daily stress is affecting focus, sleep, or emotional balance

Private by design

Restore is designed so users do not have to share their story. The process focuses on the body's response, present-moment regulation, guided rhythm, and self-rated calm before and after the session.

Why left-right rhythm matters

Restore uses a predictable left-right rhythm to help users stay grounded in the present moment while calming the body's automatic response. This rhythm may be visual, auditory, tactile, or movement-based depending on the session design. The experience is private, structured, and self-rated before and after.

Restore is not therapy, medical care, or a clinical technique. It is a guided self-regulation experience designed to support calm, grounding, and emotional resilience without requiring the user to retell personal experiences.

  • Left-right rhythm
  • Grounding cues
  • Breath pacing
  • Body awareness
  • Self-rated calm
  • No disclosure required

Bilateral Rhythm in Plain English

Bilateral rhythm means alternating left-right input. That might include guided eye movement, alternating sound, tapping, or movement-based rhythm. In BrainLife, this is used as a self-regulation support to help users stay grounded, connected to the present moment, and aware of the body's response.

This is not therapy, medical care, or a clinical technique. It is a wellness-safe guided rhythm experience used to support grounding, calm, and self-regulation.

Guided rhythm

Slow paced breathing and bilateral cues that help settle the body's response.

Present-moment focus

Brief grounding cues that bring attention back to the body and breath.

Self-rated calm

A simple before-and-after rating so you can notice change session to session.

No disclosure required

You set the intention privately. No prompts to retell or explain.

Start with the daily method

Restore unlocks inside the program after a short period of consistent Daily Renewal practice.

Safety first
